Gwen's first visit to Chuck E Cheese's

Gwendolyn wanted to go to Chuck E Cheese's for her birthday.  On her actual birthday we went there for supper and a little fun.  Then her big party was that weekend.  Here are some photo's of Chuck E Cheese's.  As you can see, she had a really great time!

Illness Sucks!

I doubt I'll find a soul on any planet that would disagree that illness does indeed suck!  This winter has been terrible!!  It's been one thing after another.  The worst started early March with a GI bug that hit me.  Then before I can say "woohoo! healthy again!!" Link came down with a totally separate GI bug.  While Link was still in the last bit of that issue, we took Gwendolyn for her 4 year well check and the next day she was sore and funky from the shots and added some pink eye.  Thank you pediatrician's office!  I go in with a totally healthy child and come out with pink eye.  It was a couple days and then Link was getting eye drops too.  Then we were all on the drops.  Before that was over, Gwen got a cold virus.  She was barely phased but, of course it slammed both Link and myself.  We are still both recovering from that business but, I'm hoping I see light at the end of this crappy illness tunnel!  That's just from under our roof!  The rest of the family has been hit with loads of illnesses too!  Ginger's had whooping cough.  Susan has had surgery, pinch nerve and sinus infections that are still all attacking her making her life barely tolerable.  I'm really hoping for some relief for her!  It's been a really terrible time for her starting back in December.  Here's hoping the worst is behind us all!  Bring on the TX heat and burn all these nasty bugs up!! 

We have a lot of action coming up.  Gwendolyn is in the last month of her current preschool or "Mother's Day Out" program.  Then onto a summer full of travel and fun with our playgroup.  At the end of May, we are road tripping it to MN to visit family.  Then we'll be going to TN with a FL side trip to hit up the new Harry Potter park YAY!!!!  Finally we'll be going to the PAC NW for a family reunion.  It's going to be a whirlwind of a summer and then Gwendolyn will start a new preschool for her final year before starting kindergarten!
